Adding Water Tariffs

How to add a Water Tariff?

1. From your platform dashboard, navigate to the side controller(navigation bar).

2. Under Tariff Management Tab, click "Add Tariff" and wait for the input form to load.

3. Enter the Tariff Name, then select the Water Tariff as the Tariff Type and enter the Rate (ZAR) and Usage Limit (Litres).

4. Click "Add Tariff" then click "Save & Close".

Note: The Tariffs are assigned to a Billing Section (refer to Adding Billing Sections).

Note: When adding Water & Sanitation tariffs, Please refer to the illustration below which documents to the most commonly-used water and sanitation tariffs (Please use the 2019/20 rates).


Note: You can add additional Tariff Rates on a Tariff, e.g Water Tariff or Sanitation (Sewage) Tariff can have the 4 rates as depicted above.

* Sanitation charged to a maximum of 35kl
Domestic Full = Stand-alone houses
Domestic Cluster = Flats, sectional title units, cluster developments and gated villages.

Adding Sewage Tariffs

How to add a Sewage Tariff?

1. From your platform dashboard, navigate to the side controller(navigation bar).

2. Under Tariff Management Tab, click "Add Tariff" and wait for the input form to load.

3. Enter the Tariff Name, then select Sewage Tariff as the Tariff Type and enter the Rate (ZAR) and Usage Limit (Litres).

4. Click "Add Tariff" then click "Save & Close".

Adding Electricity Tariffs

How to add a Electricity Tariff?

1. From your platform dashboard, navigate to the side controller(navigation bar).

2. Under Tariff Management Tab, click "Add Tariff" and wait for the input form to load.

3. Enter the Tariff Name, then select Electricity Tariff as the Tariff Type, then select the Usage Type.

Note: For the Electricity Tariff, there are three Usage Types available (Flat Rate, Domestic Block or Commercial Conventional).

Flat Rate: Variation in costs to the consumer is directly linked to the consumers own consumption i.e. fixed price for every kWh consumed.

4. Enter the Amp Charge, the months Available Charge and Basic/Service/Fixed Charge.

5. Enter Rate (ZAR).

6. Click "Add Tariff" then click "Save & Close".

Domestic Block: The Domestic tariff applies to you if you have a prepaid meter installed and receive more than 450 kWh per month (calculated on a 12-month average).

4. Enter the Demand Charge, Network Charge, Reactive Energy Charge, Amp Charge, the months Available Charge and Basic/Service/Fixed Charge.

5. Enter the Tariff Rate (ZAR), then the Usage Limit (kWh).

6. Click "Add Tariff" then click "Save & Close".

Commercial Conventional: Commercial electricity tariffs are charged according to power usage

4. Enter the Energy Charge, Demand Charge, Network Charge, Reactive Energy Charge, Amp Charge, the months Available Charge and Basic/Service/Fixed Charge.

5. Click "Add Tariff" then click "Save & Close".
